Balloon Bash with a Twist

A tangelo twist that is.  I went to my color buddy yet again this morning and she said orange.  What a great team.  I don’t need much, just a nudge sometimes.

Balloon Bash with a Twist

I had made a version of this card some time ago for a workshop.  I was asked for a birthday card and the design just popped right into my head.  So I guess I cased myself, again.  Well, I do tend to like my designs most of the time, so why not!

Balloon Bash with a Twist

It is a pretty direct layout today.  Everything is done in 1/4″ increments, nothing too tricky.  Dimensionals are definitely put to work, and I gave myself permission to sponge everything.  So liberating.  There is a lot going on, but it is also simple and easy to mail.  Gotta love that!

Happy Father’s Day!

What more do you need to say than that?  I guess there are too many words to include in such an important day as this, but a card can only hold so many.  It is a special occasion, so I did a little more than normal for this project.

Happy Father's Day!

A friend of mind recently stepped out of her front door to a scene similar to this card front.  Of course hers was more accurate, and with a lot more trees, but you get the idea.  It was a beautiful sunset and I couldn’t wait to put it in a card somehow.  It worked out and was fun to arrange.

Happy Father's Day!

I hope you are all enjoying this special day in the way you would like.  We are actually all over the place, but doing good things either way.  I love all of the dads in my life!

#You’re Welcome

Literally, one of my favorite things has become a card and matching box or bag.  This little project set fits that perfectly.

#You're Welcome

The Balloon Bash stamp set is full of whimsy.  The saying is all cute and pretty and then has the punch line at the bottom.  How often do people forget to say thank you anymore.  They really ought to make a card, but the words would do.  This one just made me laugh.

#You're Welcome

Could the paper be any more exciting?  The Birthday Bash Specialty dsp is almost full of energy.  All kinds of confetti going on here.  I stamped the sentiment I wanted and fussy cut it out.  It didn’t look done, so I fussy cut a boarder as well.  I do prefer a framelit or a punch, but we can’t have that every time.  In the bottom corner I snuck a little star with a matching epoxy sticker over the top.  Just right.

#You're Welcome

I repeated the pattern on some calypso coral card stock with the confetti stamp from the same set.  Tone on tone is a beautiful thing.  A little treat bag with some heart candy and topped with coordinating chevron ribbon.  Just right.  I did sneak some of the retired sale-a-bration ribbon to wrap around the french fry box, love that die cut, just to give it a hug.  It really did come together pretty quickly.  And of course I had to sponge absolutely everything.  No holding back there.

Have a wonderfully creative day!

Birthday Bash Times Two

Can you see a theme at my work station?  Yup, still working on birthday cards.  With paper this beautiful, you don’t really need a lot of extras.

Birthday Bash Times Two

I don’t know if you can tell from the photos, but several of the printed balloons are in gold foil.  It is just so pretty.  It could easily have gone without stamping, but I did just for fun.

Birthday Bash Times Two

I thought with the color combination it could easily be masculine.  Even with the seam binding ribbon.  Simple and strong.

Birthday Bash Times Two

I could go on and on, but these cards speak for themselves.  Dip into those pretty papers and put them to work.  Don’t be shy, just cut into them and make something beautiful.  That is why you bought them, right?

Have a creative day!

Balloon Bash Gone Wild

This got a bit wild I think, but my girls thought it was great.  I suppose for teen girls it would be.  Sometimes we need to just step outside a bit and see what happens.

Balloon Bash

I suppose I should have done something green, for St. Patrick’s Day, oooops.  I am wearing what I call my grinch shoes.  Quite comfy, if a bit silly too.

Balloon Bash

I digress…so let’s focus here.  This tiny bag is just 2 x 2 x 3 1/2″, but you could fill it with lots of little treats or a gift or two.  It looks adorable, don’t you think?

Balloon Bash

I normally have to use a die cut or punch for my sentiments.  I was distracted and found myself fussy cutting.  So I just went that way all around.  Admittedly, I am not the best at that.  I avoid it as much as possible actually.  I know, it’s silly.

Balloon Bash

The stacked with love paper stack isn’t just about Valentine’s Day.  The back side of the red prints are more than fun in all of these exciting black and white patterns.  I use it more than my other stacks to be honest.  Interesting.

Have a creative day!
