Sea Street Pop-Up Party

A super happy birthday would be coming your way with this adorable gift set.  I suppose it might be more inclined towards a child, but I have a great appreciation for cuteness, and this is definitely cute.

I started out with the idea of this octopus holding eight balloons.  I suppose I should have used the bitty balloon punch, but I stayed with it.  Perhaps I will make it again to see how it would look.  I thought the small balloons would get lost in the fun background paper.

The inside framelit action really makes a statement.  Even though it is in the middle, there is still plenty of room to write a personal message.  I do love the motion of the popup.  I had a large piece of paper left from the card background and went with a matching gift bag. If you are giving a birthday card, odds are you are giving a gift too.  Making a set is always my favorite thing.  It also helps me be brave and use up my designer series paper.  You can’t hang onto that too long you know.

Birthday Dash with Box Buddy

Someone you know having a birthday and need a card right away?  Why not make a card with a matching box buddy?  It may look like it took a lot of time, but it was super quick.  Enough said.

Birthday Dash with Box Buddy

I used one sheet of sahara sand to base both of these projects.  I cut a 6 x 6 portion first and used the remaining for the card.  It came together really nice actually.

When you have paper as beautiful as the birthday bash set, you really want to showcase it.  I usually don’t cover it, but I felt the need to play with this awesome ribbon!  It is huge, soft, and full of color.  Too much fun.

Birthday Dash with Box Buddy

The card is a bit off normal size, but only a 1/2 inch shorter.  Yes, it will fit perfectly in my regular envelopes, no need to make a custom one.  The bit of extra space allows for that huge ribbon.  Perfect!

Get out your pretty paper and put it to work for you.  This paper won’t be around much longer, retiring and all.  I might have to get a bit more, it makes such wonderful birthday cards.

Have a creative day!

So Much Joy

There is so much joy in every day life, why not in our cards and paper projects too?

So Much Joy

When I saw this weeks specials on the Stampin’Up! site I knew I had to break out some tools and make something special with them together.  Both framelits shown here plus the large pansy punch are all on sale.  Plus a few other goodies that I don’t have, yet.  I love a good sale!

So Much Joy

I grabbed a piece of paper from the birthday bash set to set the color stage and gave it some friends with crushed curry and tangelo twist.  Good friends.  I knew I wanted to make a gate fold card and decided to anchor the fold with a flower.  Since it was going to be layered, I knew it needed some strength.

So Much Joy

Enter the awesome huge designer vintage faceted buttons.  They are so fabulous!  Just when you think you couldn’t possibly use a button that large, bam!  The perfect choice!

So Much Joy

Lots of sponging, some glue dots, and a few dimensionals and here is another great set!  I love it when everything comes together to create beauty like this.

Have a creative day!

#You’re Welcome

Literally, one of my favorite things has become a card and matching box or bag.  This little project set fits that perfectly.

#You're Welcome

The Balloon Bash stamp set is full of whimsy.  The saying is all cute and pretty and then has the punch line at the bottom.  How often do people forget to say thank you anymore.  They really ought to make a card, but the words would do.  This one just made me laugh.

#You're Welcome

Could the paper be any more exciting?  The Birthday Bash Specialty dsp is almost full of energy.  All kinds of confetti going on here.  I stamped the sentiment I wanted and fussy cut it out.  It didn’t look done, so I fussy cut a boarder as well.  I do prefer a framelit or a punch, but we can’t have that every time.  In the bottom corner I snuck a little star with a matching epoxy sticker over the top.  Just right.

#You're Welcome

I repeated the pattern on some calypso coral card stock with the confetti stamp from the same set.  Tone on tone is a beautiful thing.  A little treat bag with some heart candy and topped with coordinating chevron ribbon.  Just right.  I did sneak some of the retired sale-a-bration ribbon to wrap around the french fry box, love that die cut, just to give it a hug.  It really did come together pretty quickly.  And of course I had to sponge absolutely everything.  No holding back there.

Have a wonderfully creative day!

Balloon Birthday Bash

The happiest of birthday wishes start with an awesome card and the wonderful things you write inside.  Doesn’t this set just look like a party waiting to happen?

Balloon Birthday Bash

I have to admit, I wasn’t sure how to proceed with the framelit banner pieces.  They are so adorable, but tiny and stuff.  But, as always, it came together and looks pretty darn good if I do say so myself.  How fun!

Balloon Birthday Bash

Everyone needs a friend though, even an adorable card. Hence my continual need to make a matching bag or box to go along.  The stamping tone on tone made the perfect connection, don’t you think?  Treats and a gift card seem the perfect fit for this darling little bag.  It measures 2 x 2 x 3.5.  In case you wondered, I made both of these treasures from one sheet of card stock.  How perfect!

Have an absolutely wonderful and truly creative day!

Perfect Pennants Birthday Bash

Aside from the rushed photos and my crazy allergies, I think these cards are rather fun!  They are a definite challenge to the cloudy rainy day we have here.  We need the rain and I need the pollen washed away.  Actually, everything has a dusting of pollen that gives it a crushed curry look.  Funny…

Perfect Pennants Birthday Bash

My mind is pretty darn blank today.  Again with the allergies.  But I needed some birthday cards and wanted to brighten up my desk.  Mission accomplished.

Perfect Pennants Birthday Bash

The banner framelits really make a fun look.  So simple to do, my favorite kind of excitement on a card.  It doesn’t have to be all tricky and unique to give the right effect.  Having everything all tidy and clean really gives a professional edge.  Nice.

Perfect Pennants Birthday Bash

So, get out there and make some birthday cards!  You know you need them and it is always nice to have them on hand.

Have a creative day!
