Every Heart Needs

Gift sets are so great! A bit better than this paper series, but not by much.  I usually am not the kind of person that wants realistic photo paper prints, but this set has my attention. The way the lace is folded really looks dimensional here, even if my photos don’t capture it well.  It is lovely.

I used one 12 x 12 sheet for this set.  The first cut was to give me a sheet 4 x 12, then a second cut at 5 1/4″ for the card front.  I used the remaining piece to trim out the decorative layers.  The larger section left, measuring at 8 x 12, was scored to create the matching bag. Put that pretty paper to work, otherwise you are left with a bunch of paper that you love and cannot bear to part with.  I know it is hard, but how pretty is this set?

The doilies are so lovely.  They are very vanilla on one side and whisper white on the other. So versatile, and made from paper that can be worked with a bit.  As you can tell, I sponged these two and gave them a proper crinkle.  A doily doesn’t lay flat after all.

The sentiments came from two different sets and I went against my usual on this one.  I stamped and fussy cut.  I really love a die cut or punch to take care of that, but it had to be done.  Both projects were finished off with this elegant vanilla satin ribbon.  And yes, it is that smooth and delicious to the touch.  I love beautiful ribbon.

Forever Begins Today

This was for yesterday, however, yesterday was for my family and there wasn’t time to share this with you.  I am sure it was worth the wait though.  Aren’t these flowers just the best thing ever?

One framelit set gives you all of these pieces, plus a couple more.  And they coordinate with velum, designer series paper just to name a couple. I have been planning this one for a while now, with a very specific goal in mind.  I am fortunate enough to have my son getting engaged and this is how I am going to approach the second reception.  What else could I possibly use for my inspiration piece, right?

I do admit that once I cut into a piece of designer series paper for a card front, I look to the remainder of the sheet and immediately think of a bag or box I can make to coordinate.  I have a hard time stopping myself to be honest.  I also have a bit of a problem filing back my scraps of cardstock when I work.  All of these colors were available to me in my stack of put me away papers.  I put them to good use for sure.

Happy Christmas

And this would be my absolute favorite stamp from the set Oh, What Fun.  The sentiments are fantastic, but this one is the true reason I bought the set.  Just look at how lovely the card is with just the sentiment.  Giggles and grins here.

Happy Christmas

I used a single layer of Merry Moments DSP for the card front, love those adorable ornaments.  I  stamped on a doily and centered it nicely and then finished it off with a gold cord ribbon wrapped all the way around.  It is a tall fold card so my cording goes around the whole card front.

The reason I like that so much is that it allows a space for gift cards to be put inside and still allow for plenty of space to write a message.  You have to have both for sure.

Thoughts & Prayers

I took a day away to recover from a great birthday celebration for my youngest.  I can’t believe she is 15 already.  Family first, so it was all about her.  Even so, some things still have to get going.  These projects were made to give to the young women I taught a Sunday lesson.  There were fourteen of them all together and they looked wonderful.

Thoughts & Prayers

I usually share current product, but made an exception for these.  The paper is retired from last year and the heavy bakers twine is from the last sale-a-bration.  The stamps, doilies and punches are current though.  I do love how things coordinate together so nicely though, very satisfying.

Thoughts & Prayers

Setting a piece of paper on my score board is so liberating.  A little bit of math and you are off and running.  I cut the 12 x 12 sheets in half and went for it.  They came together rather quickly and the girls really enjoyed them.  I love to make things for people, I truly do.
