Crazy About You Little Birthday Buddy

This is one of the times where you don’t even have to think about coordination much at all.  I wanted some chevrons in a baby card.  Done.  Pull the matching colors and some awesome tools and there you have it!

Crazy About You Little Birthday Buddy

A girlfriend had asked about baby shower invitations with some of these components and I made some demos.  They decided to do something different with photographs and never got to see these.  So, I got to have the design fun and get to use the projects myself.  Sounds like a win to me.

This little matching bag is not quite the size of the matching card, but it is so precious.  Just right for a tiny gift and a gift card.  What more could you ask for?

I think the little characters in the Little Birthday Buddy set are so adorable.  I had fun coloring this toucan with the coordinating ink colors using blending pens.  You always have the right marker color with those awesome tools.

Day one of the Utah trip has begun nicely.  I got a surprise visit from my niece and got to shower my mother with beautiful cards.  Awesome.  Now I get to help her get caught up on her paper pumpkin kits.  Also awesome!

Kinda Eclectic with Flashback DSP

Yet another dip into the awesome annual catalog brought out this beauty!  The Kinda Eclectic stamp set looked almost too trendy for my style.  I think we found a middle ground, don’t you?

Kinda Eclectic

We’ve got just about everybody involved today.  There is stamping of course, punches, framelits, stapling, and creative adhesive use.  Phew, what a workout!

Kinda Eclectic

Actually, it wasn’t that hard.  It really is great to have tools that are designed to create an awesome look so easily.  It makes a master crafter out of just about anyone.  You should really give it a try.

Kinda Eclectic

I used pool party, crushed curry and smokey slate.  I think the inside stamping really gives it a nice look.  And who doesn’t love a coordinating stamp and punch!

Kinda Eclectic

Well, I had better sign off and head to my next adventure.  It would be making twenty sour cream box guys for a camp meeting this evening.  How fun!

Have a creative day!

Dear Heart and Cheerful Critters

Today is totally out of my comfort zone, but I stuck with it.  It was hard not to add a ribbon or some sort of accessory.  Do the mini brads count?

Dear Critter

I took this cute little raccoon from the Dear Heart set.  I have enjoyed the little boys faces so much that I hardly noticed this guy.  I was ready to use the dinosaur instead, then I saw him.

Dear Critter

I couldn’t decide on a background, at all.  I had picked the sentiment from Cheerful Critters, but thought it would be a punch.  I actually went to bed frustrated with nothing but the raccoon colored.  In the morning I merged the two together.

Dear Critter

Even though I am not the most precise stamper when it comes to things like this, I liked the results.  But I have to admit I did rummage through the ribbon one more time trying to add something else.  I stayed firm though and left it as is.

I used smokey slate as my primary color for the paper, stamping, and blendabilities.  I only used a bit of real red for the focal sentiment.  All good? Thought so.

Have a creative day!

Throw Back Thursday with Petite Petal and Pansy Punch Gift Set

Today’s project isn’t about a stamp set, but retired paper and ribbon.  I used paper from last years neutral pack collection.  It sadly got nearly completely ignored.

Pansy and Petite Petal Punch

Yup, ignored.  Having projects to make using retired product makes me happy.  I bought it for a reason, even if I got distracted for a while.  The ribbon has been retired for a bit, but I loved it so much I bought several spools from the clearance rack.  I also snatched many packets of the large rhinestones.  I just love all the sparkle they give.

Pansy and Petite Petal Punch

I have the opportunity to go to a baby shower this weekend and couldn’t help but to make some cards to go with her registry gifts.  I used the colors from the nursery decor.  That led perfectly into strawberry slush, basic gray, and smokey slate.  Just perfectly.  It is hard to tell from my early morning photo, but I also used the current polka dot embossing folder on the background paper.

As you can tell, there are lots of flowers all ready to go.  The set will include a dozen of these pretty cards.  I originally thought them to be thank you cards, but decided to leave off the sentiment as I saw they could be used for a number of things.

They are so simple yet lovely.  You should give them a try!
