Envelope Punch Board Meets Box Punch Board

I was in the mood for a box project, so I went to work.  First off, I know the photo isn’t the best.  I was in a rush out the door this morning and couldn’t sneak a shot outside because of the rain.  But you can still see enough detail.

Lovely Gift Box

I wanted to make a larger box that could work for more than just a treat or two.  My first attempts were with regular cardstock and they worked pretty good, but felt a bit wobbly.  They would have been more solid with an actual gift inside I am sure, but I still switched over to the kraft cardstock.  Much better!

Lovely Gift Box

I used the Chalk Talk stamp set and coordinating framelits, along with a bit of fussy cutting.  I used the naturals ivory cardstock and stamped in daffodil delight.  It really felt like a country wedding.  I brought in the Petite Petals punch and a bunch of sparkle and sponged everything.  I am sometimes compelled to sponge, everything.  I happened to have a huge spool of bias tape that I used for my ribbon and brought in a touch of crocheted lace.

All in all, I think it really turned out lovely.  It measures 6 x 6 x 6, pretty big right? I almost forgot the fun trick part.  I punched and scored using the envelope punch board to make the box.  Then I switched to the box punch board to punch the corners to fasten the box.  Yes, that means that they go together in the back without any adhesive!  Cool trick there for sure.  You should give it a try!

Have a creative day!
